Recently renovated, this well-hidden jam features an eclectic style that puts most fancy pubs to shame. They like to think of their little pub as place beyond the clouds, a hop, skip and a beat away from the city’s tumultuous vibe. A place for the brave. The outlawed. Where the talented lay their souls on small pieces of paper which end up hanging from the walls. Where big names from the jazz music industry walk in and out, unannounced, like walking into their own homes. Not a place for the faint-hearted. Raucous jam sessions, full-bearded waiters, a cosy setting lit by stage lights, some dainty small pillows and plenty of custom-made round tables paired with hot pink garden chairs.
Our NGO, GHEPart, was born out of the desire to invest in education; its founders strongly believe education is the corner stone to any society. We see ourselves a youth organization with great ideas for self development and any kind of education, especially non-formal, of both children and youngsters, but also adults. In a city with no cinema, we projected films outdoor. We coached teenagers to make documentary movies about the monuments in Curtea de Argeș. We crafted two outdoor reading places. We gave the teenagers the change to play and sing in outdoor events. Now we learn community building along with civics in our ”building the future workshops”. Curtea de Argeș is in a transformation process due to its teenagers who will think again about returning home after university studies or jobs in big cities and other countries. Since we had film projections along with One World Romania where we formed a little yet audience towards documentaries, we decided to join Kinedok. We agree that our area needs another kind of entertainment. This initiative will assemble both satisfying this need and our desire for investing in education.

Part of the café is a creative space for children, and another part is a calm zone for work meetings and exhibition space.

The advantage of working in such an environment provides an unconventional atmosphere suitable for independent work, as well as the diversity of society and professions. Their consequent opportunities arise from new encounters to organized events.
